Organization Information: Overview
Bethlehem Projects of Niagara is a multi-service organization serving the diversified needs of Niagara residents by offering support for individual growth through housing and other focused services. We help people facing the issues of poverty, abuse and family breakdown to rebuild their lives through in-house and community supports. Bethlehem Projects is the only organization in the Niagara Region that offers supportive transitional and permanent housing for women, men and families. In addition to our housing programs, each year hundreds of people benefit from our community-based programs.
MISSION To provide secure, affordable housing and support services to people in the Niagara Region who are disadvantaged and of low income, enabling people, in co-operation with other community supports, to overcome obstacles and improve the quality of their lives.
VISION Helping people to develop the skills and stability to increase self-sufficiency and make a better life for themselves and their children. |

Community Transitional Support Offers flexible support services to women, who have experienced domestic violence. A Transitional Support Worker helps women residing in emergency shelters, transitional housing, social housing or other accommodations to identify and access the supports they need to establish violence free lives in their community.
Volunteer Involvement Volunteers are integral to our success in helping people overcome the obstacles they face. There are many volunteer opportunities available, including special events, committee work, maintenance, group child care and parent relief.
 |
Approximately 150 volunteers annually provide 5000 hours of service in a variety of roles including committee work, direct client service and assistance with daily operations such as office and maintenance work. Volunteers are the foundation of our success. Without the loyal support of the many dedicated volunteers who help us each year our services would not be possible. If you wish to volunteer, please call or email us. |
