Community Transition: People We Help
Having a transitional worker to connect with during the process of enrollment in Bethlehem Place was very valuable in my life and so greatly appreciated! Having someone say to me for the first time "you are going to be ok and to validate what had happened to me was not ok".
She told me I could call her whenever I needed to and this was such a lifeline that showed me she really cared about me no matter what. The very first course I took, Women in Transition, was my first experience at Bethlehem Place. It helped me to relate, settle in, come to terms with my situation and face the lessons I needed to learn during my time at Bethlehem.
The transition worker facilitated this course and this helped me to have a connection to safety and security. By taking this course it made me realize there were more positive things to come for my son and I. I truly appreciate the staff and the hearts of all who serve. They truly care and want you to succeed in life and will support you to do so.
