Early Learning Centres
Research shows that successful child development outcomes are rooted in early experience. Where, how and with whom children spend their time in the earlier years has a major impact on their healthy development. Parents and those who take on parental responsibilities have the primary role in raising healthy children. The Bethlehem Early Learning Centre and Brighter Day Early Learning Centre support families and caregivers and assist children to learn and grow.
The Bethlehem Projects of Niagara operates two Early Learning Centres:
The Bethlehem Early Learning Centre located on site at Bethlehem Place and the Brighter Day Early Learning Centre located at Edith Cavell School in St. Catharines.
What is an Early Learning Centre?
An informal centre offering a range of drop-in and play activities as well as parenting and education programs.
 |
A means of accessing information and resources regarding child development and effective parenting.
A place to develop friends and a peer support network.
Assistance with information and referrals to community agencies.
|
The Bethlehem and Brighter Day Early Learning Centres welcome parents and caregivers with children from birth to age six to participate in a variety of interactive, educational and fun-filled activities. The Centres provide a wide range of opportunities through the use of play, crafts, stress management, parenting groups and other activities in a positive, nurturing environment. The Centres also have a lending library, printed materials, and other information relating to effective parenting. Best of all, the Early Learning Centres provide a wonderful opportunity to become part of a new network of people.
