Early Learning Centres: People We Help
The two centres serve children from birth to six years of age. In a relaxed, fun-filled atmosphere, parents and caregivers share and learn with their children. Through involvement in the centres, parents and caregivers develop friendships with other people who share similar experiences. Parents find the added support they need through the relationships developed. Caregivers also feel supported through the sharing of information and interaction with others. Children have fun and learn valuable social skills which will last them a lifetime.
Community Participant…
As centre participants, we have made good use of the Early Learning Centre. Our children love the chance to get out of the apartment and play in the Centre, with the other kids. The Centre gives the opportunity for you as parents to come and play with your children. The toys range for all ages which gives them a chance to develop the ages and stages of their lives. It also gives you a chance to see the smiles on their faces when they pick up the toys, and want to play with them on the floor. The Centre also gives the children a snack, which helps them learn to clean up and wash up. The Early Learning Centre is not just a place to come to play, it's also a library to some extent. As parents we don't know everything, so if you have any questions or need help with anything we ask. The Centre has books to help with potty training, sleeping, eating and they also have some movies. Plus there is also an adult craft that takes place once or twice a month for the parents. Your children can still join you, and staff on hand will entertain your children.
Sincerely,
Violet and Sky
